I have been giving a LOT of thought to this verse:

Ps 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Our life should be a song of praise to the glory of God. (1Co 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.).

So let's today take a look at the meaning of Praise shall we? I started with my trusty 1828 dictionary:

1. To commend; to applaud; to express approbation of personal worth or actions.
2. To extol in words or song; to magnify; to glorify on account of perfections or excellent works.
3. To express gratitude for personal favors. Ps.138.
4. To do honor to; to display the excellence of.

The problem most of us have is that we can not let go of everything and just open handily praise the Lord. The more I thought of this the more i realized that we only praise something that we honour and prize highly. If we hold the Lord in the highest state of respect and admiration it will be easy to praise Him. \

Who should praise the Lord? I thought about this too since there so many verses that talks about it .. no commands it amen. So I began looking it up ... Ill start with

Angels. Ps 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

The saints. Ps 30:4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

The Nations. , Ps 117:1 O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

The Children. Mt 21:16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

High and Low. Ps 148:11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

Young and Old. Ps 148:12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

ALL CREATION. Ps 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Those are what i found, can anyone find more? What I see here is NO one is w/o excuse amen? It is what God created us for.

How will the children learn and obey if we the parents don't? How will we who get saved later in life learn if the elder don't? How will our nation be blessed if it wont Praise Him in decisions.

We looked at what praise is, and who should praise the Lord, today I wanted to show some verses from the Word of God that tells us WHY we should praise the Lord. I am so glad I decided to type out all that I found here .. I SO plan to print this out and keep it handy for those days that I feel so overwhelmed, all of these are God's attributes, and He never tires as we do, He never gives up as we are tempted to do. What a wonderful God we have!

Because of God's faithfulness and truth: Isa 25:1 O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Because He has provided salvation: Lu 1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, (69) And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

Because of God's wonderful works: Ps 150:2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Also we find much about this in : Psalms 107:8, 15, 21, 31
