In My Devotion Time...

Submitted by Karen

I study a name of God everyday during my quiet time. God has revealed Himself to me so much through His precious names. This morning my name of God is “The Lord of Glory” taken from Eph. 1:17

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Glory means : honor, renown, that appearance of a person or thing which catches the eye or attracts attention, commanding recognition, splendor, brilliance, the excellence and perfection of the divine nature.

In Exodus 33:18, Moses said “shew me thy glory”,
in Isaiah 43:7, we are “created for His glory,
in 1 Chron. 16:24 and Ps. 145:5, 11, we are to “declare His glory”,
in Isaiah 6:3, the earth is full of His glory, In Haggai 2:7, He has filled His house with glory,
In Col. 1:27 “Christ in me is the Hope of glory”
in 1 Peter 5:10 we are “called unto His eternal glory”
And ladies in John 14:27...He wants us to “behold His glory!” How can we “behold His glory?”...By tarrying long in His presence!

Scripture tells us that the believer´s greatest priority is to personally know God and love Him with all of our heart Matthew 22:37, John 17:3.

Above everything else God desires a close personal relationship with each of His children. Yet it´s impossible to develop this relationship without spending significant time with God. As Christians, we are called “The Bride of Christ” (Rev. 21:9) Through prayer and Scriptures, God is preparing us for the great wedding soon to come. (Rev. 19:7)

As I am preparing for an earthly wedding on Oct. 4th. So much time and preparation are involved, and I am spending a lot of time in the “presence” of the bride to be, getting to know her likes, dislikes, her heart., and the Lord has impressed on me how much more I need to spend time in His presence and in His precious Word getting to know His heart.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you saith the Lord..” Jer. 29:13, 14

My heart´s cry is the same as Moses´ - I beseech thee...shew me thy glory! My prayer for each one of you today is that you will tarry long in His presence and that the splendor of His glory will shine on you! God Bless you.
