"Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it."
[Notes taken at camp meeting]

John 2: 4 & 5 was the passage he used. "Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it."

We need to know:

1) Whatever Jesus says is always RIGHT.

John 14:23 & 24 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me."

2) Whatever Jesus says is always FOR OUR GOOD.

John 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

3) Whatever Jesus says is always PROFITABLE FOR OUR LIVES. God blesses obedience.

Isaiah 1:18, 19 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:"
Luke 5:1-7 is the story about the disciples fishing all night and then Jesus comes to them and tells them to drop their nets on the other side. Peter tells Jesus that they have fished all night and "have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net." Peter was obedient to Jesus. From this story we see:

1) The Idleness of the ships. (There are a lot of spiritual ships idle)
2) The Instruction of the Savior (He told them to let down their nets)
3) The Involvement of the Servant.

(Vs. 5 ~ Peter obeyed "at thy word I will let down the net.")

God will bless the church when the church obeys God and does what He tells them to do!
