A Taste of Beholding Him More in 2004

Submitted by Karen

Ladies, Jesus´ prayer in John 17:24 is that we would behold His glory. The word “behold” in Greek means to gaze, to study with purpose. And 2 Cor. 3:18 says ...
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord..

Is God´s Word glorious to you? When you read your Bible (that is the mirror James 1:21-25) Do you see the glory of God revealed? Jesus is the brightness of God´s glory revealed.

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high Hebrews 1:3

His goal is to bring many to glory:
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Hebrews 2:10

God is the Father of glory...

Eph. 1:17, and unto Him be glory in the Church forever. Eph. 3:21...And Christ in you is your hope of glory...Colossians 1:27

May we give Him more blessing and glory (Rev. 7:12) and behold His face in righteousness (Ps. 17:15) and behold the beauty of the Lord (Ps. 27:4). May we seek not our own glory, but behold His glory (John 1:14) and give glory to God in the highest.

May we not “behold” the mote in others eyes (Matthew 7:4) or behold grievances (Hab. 1:3) or wicked abominations (Eze. 8:9). May our goal be to “Behold Him more in 2004.
